Race on PS3 with GTI Club+

Remember back in the day, like in the 90s, there was an arcade game called GTI. At Leipzig, Konami, the developer of the game, has just announced that they will be releasing GTI Club+ for the PS3. It will boast new HD graphics, 5.1 sound, and more extensive gameplay such as more open road courses. The new game gives players the ability to change the color and add different graphics to their vehicles, which is similar to more recent racing video games. Players will play online and it will allow up to eight players to race each other. The game is expected to be released exclusively on Playstation Network in November. A price tag has yet to be announced.

160GB PS3 Bundle for North America Announced

Just earlier today, Sony Computer Entertainment announced that 160GB Playstation 3 will be available for PAL regions. Later in the day, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced that 160GB Playstation 3 will also be available in North America. It will come as a limited edition Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune bundle. The bundle will have a retail price tag of $499 and it should hit retail stores in November. In addition to the bundle, it will also include a Playstation Network voucher for Pain and a DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller. This announcement should sit well with those debating about a PS3 purchase. With games such as God of War 3 and Resistance 2 coming out soon, this should help consumers decide whether they should purchase a PS3.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed demo releases Thursday

Star Wars fans rejoice. Prior to the September 16 release date, LucasArts has confirmed that a demo of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be made available for the PlayStation 3 on the PlayStation Network this Thursday, September 16. The demo promises to give gamers a sneak peak into the new chapter in the Star Wars anthology. There has been a lot of anticipation and excitement over the new Force Grip power feature and the new dark characters, such as Darth Vader’s new apprentice. With so much hype, this demo would be a good indicator of how the game will sit with players.
